Fiscal Sponsorship

We are actively looking for a 501 c3 organization to fiscally sponsor us. Fiscal sponsorship is where a 501 c3 certified non-profit organization lends new not-for profit organizations, like BRIDGE Nicaragua, their tax status. This then lets donors give tax free donations, which will help us reach our goal of $12,000. If you know of an organization that could help, or if you could personally, please let us know.

Open Officer Positions

We are hoping to expand the officer ranks so we will be adding job positions here.

• Secretary/secretaries - this person would take notes at meetings and club functions and post them here.

• Web guru - we are hoping to develop a snazzy HTML home page to welcome visitors

• Special Event Coordinator - Is in charge of facilitating monthly members meetings which will include speakers and movies.

• "Affluenza" has been a recommended movie

• "The New Heroes" has also been brought to our attention

• Recruiter - In charge of tabling schedule and creating events which increase interest in EWB SFSU.

• Local Project Coordinator - this person will arrange local projects.

• Habitat for Humanity

• Onebrick.org

• Fundraiser - In charge of facilitating fund raising events

• Conference facilitator(s) - BRIDGE Nicaragua is hosting the first OSN conference on October 18th and this will require a whole lot of leg work around campus in September - the more people we can get involved in this, the better.

One time Projects

This is a list of projects that need to get done but don't necessarily need a position made for them.

• Create Tee-shirts this can include the BRIDGE Nicaragua logo or anything else that strikes your fancy

• We have also considered hosting a banquet to recognize one or two outstanding Professors at our university. This is a politically tricky process as feelings can be hurt and it is difficult to recognize teachers for excellence as opposed to just popularity.
