Hmm, the permaculture 'canon' contains a lot of really speculative material that hasn't been given scientifically-meaningful trials or studies. Or if they have, their documentation hasn't been widely publicized. Some instructive examples are [[dynamic accumulator]]s and [https://www.reddit.com/r/Permaculture/comments/3o2jb6/chickenheated_greenhouse_magic_or_myth/ this recent discussion of some of Mollison's designs]. I suspect a similar situation exists for biodynamic agriculture, which was instituted by a spiritual teacher, but which I haven't researched thoroughly enough to give the Appropedia treatment, yet. I'm not sure that a separate space for speculative material would work very well for permaculture and alternative/natural farming topics. I'd much prefer something similar to what exists presently with the <nowiki>{{speculative}}</nowiki> and <nowiki>{{Status|design}}</nowiki> templates.

Additionally, much of agriculture and other land-based practices/livelihoods are filled with anecdotal information. I think this kind of information is valuable, particularly when it comes from traditional and indigenous cultures' inherited practices. But as the saying goes "the plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'". So perhaps we can create a template system that makes explicit the kind of knowledge contained in an article. --[[User:Ethan|Ethan]] ([[User talk:Ethan|talk]]) 18:30, 25 October 2015 (PDT)
