"local resource finder" by region/country

Seems like "local resource finder" pages should also be categorized by country or other regional scheme. Comments? --Curtbeckmann 17:18, 11 October 2006 (PDT)

Yes - how fine the distinctions are will depend on how many pages are in the category. I'd think that country will do us for the forseeable future, and we can go for states or whatever if we have many pages later. --Singkong2005 · talk 21:25, 11 October 2006 (PDT)
Yep, totally agree. In fact, I think that many of our our other pages will also be listed by region. I will try to put some general comment about that on the Appropedia:Community portal. I am okay with any type of regional categoraization. As Singkong suggests, we should watch for categories getting too large, and then we can break those categories down into smaller subcategories. Two additional suggestions:
  1. Users are welcome to pick a smaller regional subcategory.
    • This is especially true for those regional subcategories that have high probable activity, e.g. Category:Humboldt County.
  2. Pages are only categorized under one regional category, i.e. not Category:Humboldt County and Category:USA, just one. (BTW eventually we will probably have states in between the small regional and the country categories).
Does that sound right? --Lonny 23:50, 11 October 2006 (PDT)
Sounds perfect! Thanks. --Curtbeckmann 07:04, 12 October 2006 (PDT)
Agreed - very good. --Singkong2005 · talk 18:49, 12 October 2006 (PDT)

Should Category:Curricula be Category:Curriculum?

On the article page, we have a deadend category, which should be singular?

Singular it should be. It is changed. Thank you. --Lonny 07:53, 14 October 2006 (PDT)

Interwiki collaboration

Hi, Singkong2005 recently left a note on Sustainable Community Action putting up the idea of interwiki collaboration. I notice you have country categories and wondered about reciprocal links between country pages or categories on both wiki? We also have a sort of generic listing: http://sca21.wikia.com/wiki/Places%2C_projects_and_networks Some sort of merged list from both wiki potentially mutually beneficial? What do you think?
