The Twitter Widget allows you to place your current Twitter status on a page.

This is particularly relevant if you use Twitter to share info and ideas related to sustainability and other global issues. However there is no strict policy on social networking on Appropedia, and as long as it doesn't distract other editors from contributing, there is unlikely to be an issue.

An organization with a Twitter account can help keep their Appropedia presence always up to date by placing their latest Twitter messages on their organization's article and/or user (and/or member pages - though that might be more confusing unless clearly marked).

To insert this widget, use the following code:

{{#widget:Twitter |user=Appropedia |count=5 }}

  • user - twitter user name
  • count - number of entries to return (defaults to 5)

Maybe these instructions should be more part of Widget:Twitter... probably.
