This is an attempt to make navigation easier and more intuitive on Appropedia, as an alternative to the "Topic categories" approach used so far.

See {{topic header}} and {{cat header}}

Examples

See how they can be used, for example at the top of Open access, using the copyleft symbol as a parameter:

FA info icon.svg Angle down icon.svg Category data
Content 0 pages, 0 subcats, 0 files, 1 nested pages

and at Category:Open access, using the copyleft symbol and a brief introduction as parameters:

FA info icon.svg Angle down icon.svg Category data
Content 0 pages, 0 subcats, 0 files, 1 nested pages

Design

Having some trouble making nice formatting.

Usually the category and main page will have the same name. (If always, we can simplify the templates, but I'm not sure this is true. --Chriswaterguy 07:03, 21 November 2009 (UTC))Reply[reply]

Suggestions? Please edit this page or leave a note on the talk page.

Where does this need to be done? See this list of mainspace pages redirecting to categories - probably all of those pages and their corresponding categories need to be edited.
