Public domain content, strictly defined, is content which is free of copyright. It can be freely used on Appropedia, where suitable.

However, it is still good practice to attribute the source. This avoids a perception (or reality) of plagiarism.W Attribution can be made by crediting the source in the edit summary when the content is added. (This is the standard Wikipedia approach for adding public domain or open-licensed content.) It may also be a good idea to list it in a "Sources" section.
