The guidelines for an admin on Appropedia are a lot like the requirements for a regular editor (see Appropedia:Policy - just a few points that are a bit stricter and spelled out in a bit more detail, because of the greater privileges that admins have.
- Civility: We give users the benefit of the doubt before blocking or deleting. The user whose first post is off-topic commercial material perhaps with other spammy indicators like longwinded semi-coherent text: That's a spammer. The user who posts links to their sustainable business in the wrong places - try leaving a friendly note on their talk page (and a {{welcome}} if they haven't been welcomed yet), suggesting ways they can contribute constructively, and edit or revert as appropriate.
