A People’s Food Policy (UK) was published in June 2017 [1]. The document was written and researched by a group of people involved with a variety of organisations, with chapters co-edited by a wider group. 'A People’s Food Policy' is supported by a wide range of initiatives: over 150 food and farming initiatives, community groups, grassroots organisations, unions and NGOs have contributed to the analysis, ideas and proposals in A People’s Food Policy. However, the scope of this document is wide and the input and/or support of an organisation and/or person does not necessarily imply endorsement of everything covered. [2]

Notes on this wiki version

The June 2017 document, A People’s Food Policy, includes a section on "Building a resilient movement". This section talks of the desire to crowd source ideas, build alliances and interest in creating a "wiki website"[3]. This wiki version is intended as a helpful response to those suggestions.

The focus here is on those parts of the document which others may wish to help evolve, through further editing, additions, questions (e.g on comment pages), etc. So not all parts of the June 2017 document may be included here, but of course anyone interested is encouraged to look at the source document [4] Initially references from the source document (apart from on page notations) are not being copied across, though the numbers are retained as ordinary bracketed numbers for reference back to the source document e.g. "An estimated over eight million people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland experience food insecurity and struggle to eat even one meal a day. (1)"

Wiki pages or articles in this category may also include information, text or links not in the source document, but concerning the wider CASwiki or Appropedia, eg 'See also' sections. Any images used here need to be open license, so usually will be different from those in the source document.
