Begs the question: Where lies the boundary between form and function? Is it possible that both are manifestations of the same? How will digital fabrication influence the typical role of engineers in the future, etc. Another question is how "open source" applies to physical objects. Is a pizza box open source because I can disassemble it, look at its constructive elements and make a fairly accurate copy? If so, is a human (can I cut you open?)? Further, if these things are "open", are they "free"?
