Empowerment Technology is one of my favorite subject among other major subjects in my grade 12 senior high school life because it improves my skills about technologies and it expands and make my knowledge become more wider about technologies. I have many learning and new knowledge about technology because of this subject. I thought it was difficult so much but when the time past, I understand the real meaning of technology. I realized that technology is not just a technology itself, it has many branches, functions and uses. I learned more about Information and Communications Technology or ICT that has many evolution to develop, improve and upgrade it's features and it has several problems that needs to be observed to avoid system failure, these are web 1.0, web 2.0 and web 3.0. Now, I know the true meaning of social media or the virtual world where I can share, post, tag, comment, interact with other people and easily find my favorite song and download a file that I want. Social media has billion of users and it has many internet threats that can be harmful to the users, these threats are malware, spam, phishing and others. As a social media user, I know how to avoid the threats of the internet because of empowerment technologies and I really appreciate the lesson because it is more on activities than written works to improve our collaborative skills. I learned many different terms of the online world like agrigator, avatar, blog, vlog, mash-up, MMOG or Massively Multimedia Online Games, P2P Network, flaming, podcasts, SMS and MMS. Now I'm good at editing videos and music because I become more inspired because of this subject. From the very beginning of this subject until the end of 1st semester is my memorable experience in empowerment technology. It brings me to the online world that makes me overwhelmed, glad and amazed, it teaches me the proper way of using social media sites like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and how to be a essential and benefactor social media user to share and be an inspiration to other people. It made me artistic whether I'm not good in making a piece of art like a design because of the online applications that can be easily create a graphic designs, posters, logos and labels. It removes my stress when I'm watching online videos, posts, vlogs and when I'm playing online games. I don't need a help from other people in searching a solution about technologies because this subject teaches me on how to do it with myself only like using online applications, online websites and online collaborative tools. My adventure in empowerment technology is full of fun, excitements, happiness, learning, discoveries, important and essential ideas that can be useful in my next chapter of being a student. All of the activities, tasks, performances, outputs, quizzes and tests in this subject are all my favorite among other major subjects. There are no times that makes me feel disappointed with this subject, even if it is difficult sometimes, that's very easy for me because I put myself on this subject where I'm really interested to absorb and understand all of the lesson on this subject. Thank you for everything, for all the memories, experiences, ideas and knowledge that this subject gave to me that can be useful in my everyday life activities, all of that will be missed by myself. We become a collaborative, active and responsible online users because of empowerment technology. I enjoy the times and days for being a part of this subject for just 1 semester. I hope that I have many new learning and ideas to the next semester and next level of technology subject to make my future a better one and my skills about technology becomes improved.
