- I live and work in Bali, Indonesia where I have a lighting design and alternative energy company by the name of NuQu Living Design. I moved into the field of lighting for villas and resorts here quite by accident - I discovered through a friend about 6 years ago a small LED string of lights and took them home to experiment with using them for a pool light. It worked so well I started changing pool lights for folks here and that soon grew to garden lighting followed soon after by architectural lighting for interior spaces. In the beginning my company was involved in design and sourcing for furniture and various artifacts for clients in SE Asia and North America mostly. Soon the LED business became so demanding that we dropped all other business activities and focused on this one area.
As we've been growing, my interest in alternative energy and a 'better way to live' has been growing along with. Recently we've adopted a motto for our company of 'conservation and preservation' and have taken steps to move into deep cycle battery systems, photo voltaic, hydroxy converters and nano coatings; all things my LED customers are interested in and all can help them live a great life-style with a greatly reduced carbon footprint. No telling where this is all leading us, but I can say one thing - it's very exciting.
