Nathan is an honours undergraduate student in the Cumming School of Medicine's Bachelor of Health Science program, majoring in biomedical sciences. His passion for clinical and diagnostic research drew him to the university's research-intensive program.
Nathan conducts research under the supervision of Dr. May Choi and Dr. Marvin Fritzler, focusing on biomarker discovery and validation for the prediction and prevention of autoimmune rheumatic diseases and disease-related complications. His research interests lie in the investigation of antigen-antibody profiles and the pathogenic role of autoantibodies in autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
Beyond academia, Nathan strives to be a leader in his community, helping create positive, impactful change. This is reflected in his work with campus-based groups, local charitable organizations, and international non-profits. In his spare time, he coaches Canadian football and enjoys hiking and skiing in the Canadian Rockies.
