E-Tech Reflection[edit | edit source]

Since the Empowerment Technologies is part of the senior high school curriculum that helps the students to use the different ICT tools in our daily lives. With the use of this subject the student develop their decision-making skills and their skills in communicating others and also they adapt the different environment in social media. As a student who always uses ICT tools for different activities and projects in school or in communicating, I’ve slowly learned and grown dependent in using ICT tools.

And now the whole semester is over, my first thought about the overall projects or the different activities that our teacher gives us is usually a positive thought. Since our teacher gives us task or activities that comply the goals and objectives of the subjects. The overall projects are positive because it helps us to learned about the usage or function of ICT tools and its lets us practice and apply our literacy in technology. After the discussion our teacher gives us activities or task in order for us to evaluate ourselves if we really understood or learning about the topic. As I’ve worked in the given task or activity, some of the most interesting discoveries I made is that we can educate other people by using ICT tools. We can help them to spread some information regarding to the problems and issues that we are facing right now. By the use of ICT tools we can do that in a faster and easier way, we can inform others through our social media accounts. For me, I figured out that I can do thing that beyond the expectation to myself. For example with this is when we are task to make a blog and a classroom with the Grade 1 students and we present our advocacy, and also creating and editing projects with the use of ICT tools.During our making of tasks and projects, we also experience challenges and struggles doing it. My most challenging moment in making projects and tasks in this subjects is when we are task to have a survey and make a blog, platforms and an article about our choosing topics then my entire classmate should give feedback about our work. Because of lack of time we are cramming to complete the number of comments in our blog. But with collaboration and teamwork in our group we did our work easily. With that I’ve learned that collaboration and cooperation is important to make your task done and in group projects time- management and self- management will very important also. And my most powerful learning moments is when we are task to make a blog using the blog site that we discovered. My knowledge in making a blog is not reliable so I do research. While doing my research I find and search some procedure in making a blog and also I gather some idea and information about it. With those discoveries, it encourages me to do my task which is making an article and platforms about the problems and issues in our society.

With all of the tasks and projects given to us, the most important things that I’ve learned personally are we should have a self and time management in doing our task. And also in using ICT tools we should have our limitation, we should use it properly and before using the ICT tools we should know first the privacy policy of that tool to be more guided. And I realized that very different ideas, opinions and perspectives that comes in our mind then we collaborate them we can come up and create into one positive and great solution. With these realizations, we will be more open to the opinions of other so that we can understand their perspectives. It also helps us how to deal with other and how to be socialize with them with comprehension and respect to their perspectives and opinion.

During doing our tasks, we usually use social media like Facebook and Messenger to communicate to our group mates. We use this ICT tools to keep in touch to our group, and we use this to communicate our group mates to ask some question and clarify tings that related to our task. But I can say that the overall communication of our group is quite good. Our group collaborative communication falls short when some of our group mates did not participate at all and some are not paying attention and not doing the assigned task for them.
