Name[edit source]

Appropedia groups seems like a very general name, like Google groups or "social groups". Perhaps another word could be added to convey what they're about - e.g. Appropedia Action Groups. --Chriswaterguy (talk) 23:24, 31 March 2008 (PDT)

I support calling this action "Appropedia Action Groups" and moving the content to a page with such a name. --David.reber 10:49, 10 April 2008 (PDT)

Solar Cookers[edit source]

Sorry to be a pest. I invented the "mechanical mathematician" last summer (a new simple appropriate tech way to make a parabolic dish or mould), and I used it to make a large cob and kitchen foil solar cooker. (Which worked well). Then I used it to make a tracking solar accumulator which I am currently testing. I made 2 new designs for appropriate tech trackers for it. I built one and it works. But the other one (the clock based tracker) has more potential and I have NOT built it. Any engineers like to try it? It is at solarcooking.org on their tracking page. (Link in recent news there) It would be awesome if engineers would take an interest in any of this stuff! A team of half good engineers could do justice to it.
