Mark as a personal experience page[edit source]

I notice that this is written in the first person ("my" experience etc). That's cool (great page in fact) but a page like this which is the personal experience of one person or a few people should be marked in some way to make that clear. Change the title slightly? Add a template notice? For now I'll move the page from Gardening tips from the Arcata Educational Farm to Pkb7's gardening tips from the Arcata Educational Farm.

Notes re moving pages: I found an older version of this page - Coastal Humboldt Gardening Guide - I planned to merge them: update the other page with the recent changes (by pasting the content from here into Coastal Humboldt Gardening Guide) then delete this page and move that page to a more suitable name; this page would be replaced with a redirect. That way, the history of the original page would be conserved. But I thought again - originally I'd presumed it had been copied and pasted because the user didn't know how to move pages - but perhaps it was actually was done so the main author would be shown as "Pkb7" instead of the anonymous IP address (presumably Pkb7 not logged in) who started the article...? So, rather than interfering with that, I'll just make Coastal Humboldt Gardening Guide into a redirect.

Bottom line of all that... when moving a page (for whatever reason) be sure and leave a clear edit summary. And if doing it manually in order to change how the "Based on work by" notice displays at the bottom, note this in the edit summary, and be sure and replace the old page with a redirect. I'll make a note about this at Appropedia:Based on work by --Chriswaterguy · talk 00:02, 11 October 2007 (PDT)
