To overcome overload alleviation, contractual requirements and loss reduction, power flow control isrequired.So, we introduce flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) devices which can control power flow in the transmission system as it can inject a sinusoidal voltage of variable and controllable amplitude and phase angle, in series with a transmission line. In our project we have simulated all our results using UPFC.
