Optimized Blade Design for Homemade Windmills

507 bytes added, 12:47, 16 April 2010
As demonstrated, the power in the wind is highly related to the velocity of the wind air and to a lesser extentthe diameter of the blades. The relationship of energy to the velocity of the fluid cubed, indicates the diameter importance of high wind speeds. Therefore, to increase energy output, the most important factor is to find a location with high wind speeds. This can be achieved by creating a tower in order to place the windmill in a more elevated location. This will help to reduce the impact of any obstructions from the ground level. The size of the turbine blades is also important and should also be considered as a method of attaining more power.
