My recent Health Care Analysis article clearly showed the patent system is responsible for premature deaths using completely transparent calculations and real-world publicly-available data [1]. Rather than offering a rigorous critique, Acri’s non-peer-reviewed opinion piece presents industry-favorable talking points unsupported by the scientific record. The opinion piece is factually inaccurate, riddled with logical flaws and based primarily on unsupported speculation.
