કાર્બનિક જંતુનાશકો

જૈવિક જંતુનાશકો એ કુદરતી રીતે બનતા પદાર્થો અથવા કાર્બનિક સાબુ અને/અથવા ઇથેનોલમાંથી બનાવેલાસ્વ-નિર્મિત મિશ્રણમાંથી બનેલા જંતુનાશકો છે.

ઓર્ગેનિક જંતુનાશકો ખેડૂતોને પરંપરાગત જંતુનાશકોનો આશરો લીધા વિના છોડમાં જંતુઓ અને રોગોને નિયંત્રિત કરવાની મંજૂરી આપી શકે છે. આનો અર્થ એ નથી કે તેઓ વાપરવા માટે વધુ સુરક્ષિત છે. રાસાયણિક જંતુનાશકોની જેમ ઓર્ગેનિક પ્રિસ્ટીસાઇડ્સ પર્યાવરણમાં પ્રાણીસૃષ્ટિ/વનસ્પતિ માટે નુકસાનકારક હોઈ શકે છે. ^[1] જો કે, રાસાયણિક જંતુનાશકોની તુલનામાં, તેઓ પર્યાવરણ દ્વારા વધુ સરળતાથી વિઘટિત થઈ શકે છે.
