A variant of the ODWHES, used by the Second Chance Network (2CN). This system is less versatile/more restrictive as a non-intermittent power source needs to be used and needs to be sufficiently large to power all AC appliances used in the house. In order for this to work, an energy stacking schedule needs to be made and followed to the letter.
Non-intermittent power sources can be added, but can only serve for recharging of the energy storage system or to feed the power to the grid, and not to power the AC appliances.
The main advantage of the system is that the energy storage system is only used to power the lights and thus the capacity can be (very) small. Most of the other power (produced by the renewable energy plant) is immediatelly consumed, and any excess power that is produced is immediatelly sold to the mains electricity grid. This makes the system very efficient and cost-effective, at the expensive of some convenience and system flexibility.
