  2. Bombus pratorum native to europe
  3. Bombus hypnorum native to north and eastern Europe, less common past 70 degrees north
  4. Bombus fraternus native to the United States east of the Rocky Mountains, also often encountered in the Southeast, in areas with sandy soil. They range from New Jersey to Florida,North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, and New Mexico
  5. Bombus ternarius found throughout the eastern United States and parts of Canada.
