The first bale turned out to be our trouble bale because we did not have it over far enough to the west and it made an indentation in the wall. This spot will be discussed in more detail later on. Once the first layer of bales was down we pushed vertical pieces of rebar through them that were tall enough to go six inches into the top bale. When putting the second layer on it was important to watch the rebar and make sure it stayed straight and did not bend.
