A schematic of the global air pollution. The map was made by User:KVDP using the GIMP. It was based on the global air pollution map by the ESA (see http://www.esa.int/esaEO/SEM340NKPZD_index_0.html , http://esamultimedia.esa.int/images/EarthObservation/pollution_global_hires.jpg ) In regards to the improving of a person's health by avoiding areas of bad air quality; the map may present the idea that it is possible to move away from an area with bad air quality. Although this is true, this would not change anything to the cause of the polluted air, and even if a person moves away, it can be expected that the bad air quality develops on the new location the person goes to. This, as people generally don't change their habits, and people themselves are often the cause of the problem in question. The only solution is thus to improve air quality on the location itself. This could be supported by means of implementing juridical national measures.
