Academic Background/Biography[edit | edit source]
A highly motivated energy systems engineer, interested in Clean technologies, renewable energy and ways of harvesting in the future and applying it in smart technologies.Currently at Kyushu University(Japan) pursuing a Masters of Science in Energy Engineering at the Environmental and Energy (Farzaneh Laboratory).I will have submitted my masters thesis by August 2022. My current focus has been on the optimization of energy systems. I completed my undergraduate studies from UC Berkeley, USA in 2018 with a minor in public policy. After my undergraduate studies, my specific interests included Financial modeling for using various clean energy technology, Decentralized energy resources, and Multiscale Modeling. Over the summer breaks of 2017 and 2018, as well as the winter break between them, I worked as an engineering intern at Siftscience in San Francisco and also worked as an intern in zesco at in Lusaka, Zambia which is the number one energy distribution company in Zambia. During my time with the companies above, I performed various tasks; including synthesized reports on decentralized renewable energy (DRE) to contribute to an open-source database Platform for Energy Access Knowledge (PEAK). I also collected and sort data on costs and technical information of mini-grids and centralized grids in Lusaka, Zambia. As at now, after pursuing my masters in energy engineering. My research interests include; the impact of renewable energy technologies on the environment,Solar PV in smart farming and digital agriculture as-well as optimization of energy systems while comparing different demand and supply models, Artificial Intelligence.
