Hi! Welcome to my user page.

About me

Philralph1.JPG

I live in a small town in rural Kent, England, about an hour's train ride from London. Married with two grown up sons. Lived here for approx 35 years, but grew up by the sea, in Bournemouth. Family connections in Mallorca, Spain.

Some things I've been involved with - Local sustainability action, Local Agenda 21, LETS (local exchange trading systems), volunteering, demography. Other interests include running, sport, cooking, gardening, art, design, film, music, philosophy, psychology, spirituality, futurology, sci-fi and fantasy. Languages: English (native), Spanish (basic)

Particularly interested in how ordinary citizens and communities can become co-producers and co-designers of their own futures.

Current focus

as of December 2013

merging Sustainable Community Action wiki version 2 into Appropedia

Sustainable Community Action

I began the Sustainable Community Action wiki in 2004. Its first version is still on Wikia but has not had any serious development for 2 or 3 years. For a variety of reasons a new home was sought for the wiki and in 2012 I began a process of merging selected content into the social media site Wiser W. Wiser itself is going through some changes, so as of December 2013, the plan is to continue this merging process but to put the 200 - 300 articles into Appropedia.
