I am 20 years old. I am currently a sophomore majoring in environmental Resource Engineering at Cal Poly Humboldt. I am the oldest of five siblings. I live in Redondo Beach back in LA county. I like to watch movies, play video games, board and card games, and listen to music. I am the second person in my family who will complete college. I have a bad habit of chewing gum every day. I am a morning person and not a night person. My birthday is on June 18. My favorite color is blue. I hope to become a nuclear engineer later on.

Engineering 215 Portfolio[edit | edit source]

I took an "Intro in Design" course at Cal Poly Humboldt for the fall semester of 2013. During this course I had to do two projects: a Rube Goldberg machine and an edible railing. For the Rube Goldberg machine I was paired up with Solomon Clark and Javier Hinojosa and our job was to create a machine that had at least eight moving parts and had to crush a can in the end. Our machine was successful and was just a stepping stone for the next project. The edible railing project was both a school project as well as project for a professional artist in Philadelphia. In this project I was grouped with Rebecca Denny, Heidi Otten, and Gavin Zirkel and together our team was Food on Deck. As a group we had to design an edible railing for our client, Mary Mattingly, who was the head of a project in Philadelphia called WetLand which is a self sustainable barge that is suppose to make its debut in the summer of 2014. The edible railing, which our team decided to name Life Support, needed to be safe, durable, have low maintenance, easy to reproduce, and it must also provide food for our client. In a course of a few months, our team successful created the railing and will be seen again on WetLand. I had fun building and working in both these projects. At the end our the semester our professor, Lonny Grafman, assigned the class one final piece of work. The last assignment for the semester is to create a public portfolio containing all my best works I have done so far. These are the documents that are within my portfolio. Enjoy.

  • Here is the best memo I have written so far in college.
  • Here is a spreadsheet that I have created.
  • This is a Gantt Chart that my team and I have created.
  • This is my ACAD drawing which I am very proud of.
  • My team and I have spent months on this document for the edible railing project. This is the most significant document that I have ever contributed to in my whole career.
