During the summer of 2018 I had the opportunity to be a specialist counselor at a sleep away summer camp in northeastern Pennsylvania called Tyler Hill Camp. My position here was in the technology education section with various activities including 3D printing, Robotics, and general science education. I was responsible for running the area with class sizes throughout the day ranging from 10-25 of kids ages 6-12. Seeing how children learn as well as collaborating with other camp counselors allowed me to better understand the learning process as well as in the importance of effective and empathetic communication. | |||
