Tea is a drink, served hot or cold, with or without flavourings and garnishes. True tea derives from the tea bush or tree (Camelia sinensis)[1] but over time different forms of tea have evolved from a range of other plant sources, especially in the areas of herbal, fruit and flavoured teas.

Tea can be made using leaves, flowers, buds, twigs.[1] Tea is usually made through steeping in hot water. If it is to be drunk cold, many recipes require a heated stage first to draw out the tea flavour, then the tea is allowed to cool down. However, it is also possible to cold brew some teas.

This article is a work in progress. Tea is a big topic. After all, it's the second most drunk drink in the world after water.[1] Feel free to help it emerge more fully.
