Which features are most important?

Set up dev site (Steve Lee is doing this for us.)
robots.txt used to block the site - avoid being punished for duplicate content, and people landing on the wrong site.
- Look and feel Appropedia:User experience - Vergil and...(??) helping with this.
- Appropedia:Blog aggregator
- Appropedia:Desired features#Semantic MediaWiki (All extensions to be tried out on dev site first.)
- mw:Extension:FCKeditor - seems to be the WYSIWYG that's closest to showtime.
- Combined talk page version of RecentChanges.
- Appropedia:Desired features #Banner for visitors from partner sites
- More sophisticated maps/geotagging.
- Any way of doing project tracking? Seems like a major need.
- Appropedia:Desired features #Email a friend and "Tweet this" buttons/boxes.
- Appropedia:Desired features #Extension:ArticleComments - or whatever the best comment extension is these days.
- Appropedia:Desired features #Cross-wiki search function
- Appropedia:Desired features #Recentchanges desplayed as a table
- Any social networking features such as Appropedia:Desired features #Fan mail, OpenSocial Appropedia:Desired features #widgets, voting on articles

Development site
Done.
Steve Lee is setting this up for us. This means:
- A clean install of the latest MediaWiki
- Set up robots.txt to block the site from all search engines
- All the settings and extensions on Special:Version
- currentdump and
[tarball of all images http://www.appropedia.org/images/images.tar.gzA] (very large) as the content for the site.
Then try out these new features:
- mw:Manual:wgForeignAPIRepo
- mw:Extension:MultiUpload
- Semantic MediaWiki
- ParserFunctions - the extension, or whatever gives Wikipedia the logical functions in templates, that we don't have.
Once we're satisfied with this, the next features to try might be:
