  • In agricultural science, crop yield refers to the amount of crop produced per unit area of land cultivation. This gives a quantifiable measure used to compare the productivity of different farm systems.
  • "Obtain a yield" is one of the permaculture principles. This means that any given permaculture system should be increasing harvestable resources, whether those resources are tangible or intangible.
