Wes Ponting
Hi my name is Wes. I am an Environmental Science major at HSU, currently a senior in my last term. I have lived in Humboldt for three years now and love everything about it, including everyones tinkering attitude. My family lives south of here on a ranch style property which i go down to often in order to help fix problems and renovate the grounds using new strategies.
Interests in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
- I like construction work, either building something new or fixing something old.
- It is interesting to find out how people solve common problems with common items or something like "Life Hack".
- I have always been a frugal person, so fixing things has always been another thing to do.
Experience in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
- Was in Boy Scouts for a long time in my life, achieved Eagle Scout, and worked on many different projects.
- Have worked on "ranches" my whole life, so i have had a lot of experience with "appropriate" solutions for simple problems.
- I have built a dripper setup with automatic timers
