I love being active whether its a hike, lifting weights, swimming, you name it. I hope to be well rounded in my science education and pursue a career in my local government. I'm from Oxnard in Southern California and want to protect the local environment as well as the economy because of the need for farming in that area.
Interests in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
My interest comprise of varying replacements concerning existing technologies that are less damaging to not the only the environment on a global scale but also within our immediate vicinities.
Experience in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
- During the summer of 2015 I did an internship at UCSB that dealt with a flight pattern algorithm. The flight algorithm was in response to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 that went missing.
- I've tried growing tomatoes in my backyard but they grew didn't really sprout like had hoped. During the winter of last year, I collected rain water that I used to continue watering the plants with after the rain. I did have success growing gardenias.
