All You Need to Know About Manifold Valve

In a lot of fluid based industrial systems, an operation without the valves seems like an impossible thing. There are many different kinds of valves which have different configurations. Among the most popular and most useful ones are pneumatic check valves, ball valves, needle valves, toggle valves, etc.

A lot of times, a system has to incorporate two or more kinds of valves. This is when multiple requirements need to be accomplished. In such a case, a single valve will not be able to fulfill the requirement. This is where a manifold valve helps.


As mentioned earlier, when two or more valves need to be combined to accomplish an operation, it becomes a manifold valve. The valve chamber of the manifold valve is common, and all other isolate valves are joined into a single body configuration. TYPES OF MANIFOLD VALVES In simplest terms, there are three basic types of manifold valves.

1. Two way manifold valves:

  The applications for this kind of manifold valve includes general plant service, instrumentation devices used for standard pressure and 
  differential pressure, equalization of pressure, venting, and block and bleed applications, etc.

2. Three-way manifold valves:

   They are mostly used to differential pressure and standard pressure instrumentations.

3. Five-way manifold valves:

  These again are used in standard and differential pressure instrumentations.
