Suggested guidelines[edit | edit source]
When editing an existing page, students should:
- Not delete content without reason (example, another example) - even if they think their new info is more substantial or more accurate. The existing content, assuming it has value, should usually be incorporated within the new version; if it is removed, reasons should be given in the edit summary.
- Not add a "please refrain from editing" notice, unless a short time-frame is specified on the notice. From one to three days seems reasonable.
