Living as a co-director at the Campus Center of Appropriate Technology at Humboldt State University, we are entering summer time grateful for time off, but working hard as ever.

I love Vermont, but Northern California is one hell of a happening place. I'm looking to expand my wide but shallow knowledge of appropriate and sustainable technology and living styles. I am especially interested in bicycling as transportation and a daily source of joy, reducing the public's use of the private vehicle, growing food locally in a healthy manner on an individual or community scale and the ever evolving science of building "green" in today's age of technology. Living at CCAT has taught me a great deal about appropriate technologies, but more then that I have learned the perfectness of mistakes, the beauty of learning and living, the science of people and their interactions and the importance of communication.

I am most jazzed on appropriate technology's influence on our daily lives, moving away from the mainstream and into simpler, more sophisticated, healthy living in today's junked out, polluted, complicated world.
