Used cooking oils and fats are also known as waste vegetable oil (WVO). They are increasingly in demand and big waste oil collection companies pay for the privileged to take restaurant oils away (or they supply cheap vegetable oil in return for used oils)

When using cooking oils as fuel in diesel engines care should be taken to remove both particle and water contamination.
