Triangle of Life

The Triangle of Life is promoted by Doug Copp as alternative to conventional advice on surviving earthquakes. However, his claims of expertise appear to be fraudulent, his claims about the "experiment" proving his claims are contested, and some of the advice appears to dangerous. For example being besides a sturdy object is unsafe if that object is heavy and unsecured, as lateral shaking may cause it to slide or fall and crush the person. Some of the advice is good (e.g. don't go to the stairs) and some may be more suitable for countries with lower building standards, where buildings are more likely to collapse "pancake" style.

See how to respond to an earthquake for clearer guidance.
