This is a documentation subpage for Template:PD-self (see that page for the template itself).

[edit] Usage

Use this template to indicate that you, the uploader, are the author of an image file, and you placed it the public domain.

Adding this template to a file page adds the page to Category:User-created public domain images.

This template uses the {{File other}} template to prevent non-file pages that transclude this template from categorizing into Category:User-created public domain images.

  • {{PD-author}} - use this when the author has placed the work in the public domain, and the author is neither you nor another Appropedia user.
  • {{PD-user}} - use this when the author is not you, is an Appropedia user, and has placed the image in the public domain.
