This template creates a documentation subpage for other templates. That is desirable because it separates the documentation from the template code, and reduces the amount of wikitext for MediaWiki^W to process each time it transcludes^W the template.

[edit] Bug

After you edit the documentation subpage for a template, you may have to make a null edit^W to the template page to get the template to categorize into the categories you specify in the /doc subpage.
