Average Annual Energy Usage kWh/day * 1000 watts/kWh - other energy generation sources / Usable Hours of Sunlight Per Day / Watts per PV Panel * 1+days of backup power / Battery Effeciency / Inverter Effeciency
e.g.
10 kWh/day usage * 1000 watts/kWh - 0 (no other generation) / 5 Usable Hours of Sunlight Per Day / 200 watts per panel * 3 (Two days of extra juice) / 75% Battery Effeciency / 94% Inverter Effeciency = 43 panels * $800 per panel = $34,400 + battery costs
