File:Mountain wind.JPG
[edit] Summary
A schematic showing the wind direction at day and at night on mountains. The direction changes as, during daytime, the mountain heats up more rapidly than the valley, while at night, the valley keeps its heat longer than the mountain. The image was hand drawn based on an image in the book "Wereldwijzer" by Marshall Cavendish, aswell as the image at http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/68/62668-004-8B29BAC5.gif
