The first window we put in the greenhouse is the one on the east side. This window lets in a lot of morning sun and helps take the night time chill off. We used all second hand recycled windows that we bought locally. A problem we had with this window is that it is made to go vertical not horizontal, the way we installed it. Because of this there are springs in the window to help it go up and in this case, being on its side, the springs help it open but it is very hard to close. To fix this we removed the springs and now it slides easily in both directions. Another problem we discovered is that the drains for the window are now on the side instead of the bottom where they are supposed to be. This has lead to a leak right in the center of the window which could eventually lead to rot.
