Appropedia University[edit source]

The Appropedia University phrase is an attempt at an engaging way to describe our learning programs. We need to be clear that Appropedia itself is not the university, of course - will do some editing to that effect. --Chriswaterguy 08:19, 1 March 2011 (PST)

Changed my mind on this (and since no one else had visibly taken up the idea, I didn't need to convince anyone). "Service learning" is more widely used than I had realized, and I think we're better with sticking with that one clear idea and terminology, and making sure that's understood. Merging A:Appropedia University to A:Service learning. --Chriswaterguy 06:10, 14 March 2012 (PDT)

Informal courses[edit source]

If we have the resources to do this (and that might be just a few keen and well-organized individuals in the community) we could possibly organize informal courses using Appropedia and other sources of content. P2PU is one platform - but I don't know what tools it offers and how good it is at helping people follow through. --Chriswaterguy 04:24, 26 August 2012 (PDT)

@Chriswaterguy I love the fact that in the end, this might come to happen as you envisioned it, with our first courses being developed in 2021. —Emilio (talk) 15:57, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
